Vaccaro X-Ray V2
Auction: Vaccaro X-Ray V2 Aluminum Neck Like Kramer Travis Bean
Seller: r_franklin
While I'm on a Bean kick, I came across this Vaccaro auction. Vaccaro took over the V-Neck patent that the old Kramer guitars were using. Kramer once worked with Travis Bean, so there is a family history with these necks. The V2 models, if I understand correctly were a later issued model that were developed outside the US. Not sure if quality was less. The list price according to the Vaccaro web site has it running at $665.95 for this particular model

At the time of this post the bid is sitting at $300 with a single bid and with 6 days remaining. The seller has 100% positive feedback and the guitar is in excellent near new condition. I think this would be a great value for an aluminum neck guitar.

Gibson Ripper Bass
Auction: MID-SEVENTIES GIBSON "THE RIPPER" BASS L9S
Seller: cuzzoclyde
Here is a chance to own a classic, the Gibson "Ripper" bass L9S. This a original mid-70s production guitar. It appears to be in great shape and has been in storage for the last 26 years. An old friend of mine use to play this model, and I was always a fan of the tone. I think this might be a good opportunity to pick this bass up on the cheap. No reserve or "buy it now" for this auction. Starting bid is at $100 at the time of this posting.
The seller is cuzzoclyde with only 6 feedbacks, but all positive. The low feedbacks might help keep the bass 'under the radar'.
Good luck!
The Odyssey
Auction: Rare Odyssey electric guitar (PRS or Gibson style)c1981
Seller: bgk2001
Now here's an interesting guitar. It's an Odyssey guitar handmade by Attila Balogh. I've never heard of this company, but the guitar looks to be of fine quality. I'm always looking for guitars or basses that are a little left of the norm. I could spend all day to talking about Strats and Pauls.. but that would get boring.
Here is a small snippet of the description. Please view the listing to read the description in it's entireity.
"Two volumes, two tone controls, a three way pickup selector switch and a three way single/humbucking pickup combination switch. It can be set with both pickups in humbucking mode, both in single pole mode or single bridge with humbucking neck. With thte combination of the pickup selector switch there is a lot of choice."
The seller bgk2001 has a 99.6% positive feedback. The guitar lives in Australia, so expect to pay a chunk if you're shipping it to the States.
